1. Verify frequency assignments –
   A WAVEGUIDE DUPLEXER is factory‑tuned for specific Tx and Rx frequency bands; ensure that your system frequencies match the WAVEGUIDE DUPLEXER specifications.

2. Terminate any unused ports –
   If a WAVEGUIDE DUPLEXER has an extra port (e.g., circulator‑based designs), terminate it with a WAVEGUIDE LOAD to prevent reflections.

3. Power rating verification –
   Before operating a WAVEGUIDE DUPLEXER, verify the average and peak power ratings for the Tx port.

4. Observe port labeling –
   Never swap the Tx and Rx ports of a WAVEGUIDE DUPLEXER, as the filters are frequency‑specific and the isolation will be lost if reversed.
