The ABB IMDSO14 Digital Output module (DSO) is designed to interface the INFI 90
OPEN Strategic Process Management System with industrial processes,
providing reliable digital output signals to control field devices.
With 16 output points, the module ensures precise digital switching
(ON/OFF) for connected equipment, supporting critical process
control tasks in demanding industrial environments.
Engineered as a digital output slave, the IMDSO14 enables seamless communication between control modules and field
devices. It translates control commands from the INFI 90 system
into actionable signals, ensuring accurate and timely operation of
valves, actuators, and other digital equipment. The module's
compatibility with 24 VDC systems allows for integration into a
wide range of process control architectures.
The IMDSO14 remains a valuable replacement or spare part for legacy INFI 90
installations. Compact and lightweight, it provides robust
performance while maintaining ease of installation and long-term
reliability. This module is ideal for facilities requiring
continuity of service without costly system overhauls.

| Installation & Static Safety Guidelines |

- Use a Static Grounding Wrist Strap
Always wear a grounded wrist strap when installing or removing
modules. Static discharge can damage sensitive devices within the
module. Ensure all equipment and work surfaces are grounded. - Keep Modules in Static Shielding Bags
Store the module in its static shielding bag until installation.
Retain the bag for future use to protect the module from
electrostatic discharge. - Ground Bags Before Opening
Touch the bag containing the module to grounded equipment or
housing before opening to equalize electrical charges. - Handle by the Edges
Avoid touching circuit boards and components directly. Always
handle assemblies by the edges to minimize static exposure. - Ensure Proper Grounding of Connected Devices
Verify that all devices connected to the module are properly
grounded before powering the system. - Ground Test Equipment
Ensure all testing tools and instruments are properly grounded
before use. - Use an Antistatic Field Service Vacuum
If necessary, remove dust from cards with a grounded, antistatic
vacuum to prevent static damage. - Do Not Use Lead Pencils for DIP Switches
Avoid setting DIP switches with lead pencils. Contact contamination
can cause malfunctions on the circuit board. - Set Module Address Prior to Installation
Configure the module S1 address switch before inserting it into the
system. - Configure Termination Units or Modules
Properly configure the Termination Unit (TU) or Termination Module
(TM) to output digital signals from the DSO to connected field
devices.
