Introduction:

Yellow needle-shaped crystals. Melting point 173℃ (decomposition), easily soluble in ethe and alkaline solution, slightly soluble in alcohol, insoluble in water, chloroform and benzene. The product is unstable in alkaline solution and precipitates sulfur after long-term storage. It is unstable in air and in the presence of light. It should be stored in a bottle that is protected from light and filled with nitrogen.

Uses:

This product is an analytical reagent. It reacts with bismuth to produce red, copper to produce brown, and lead to produce bright yellow precipitate. It is used for colorimetric determination of bismuth and photometric determination of antimony and palladium. It is used as a pharmaceutical intermediate, organic synthesis raw material, analytical reagent, fuel additive, etc.
