The MC3416 is a compact, integrated digital output 3-axis accelerometer designed for motion sensing in cell phones and consumer products. It offers features optimized for user interface control, gaming input, and electronic compass tilt compensation. The device includes a dedicated motion block for 'any motion', shake, tilt/flip, and tilt position detection. Its monolithic fabrication integrates the MEMS accelerometer and electronics on a single chip, ensuring low power consumption and small size. The MC3416 supports internal sample rates from 128 to 1024 samples/second and allows status reading via polling or interrupts.
