The SMA connector series is designed for high-frequency applications up to 27 GHz. These connectors are detachable and replaceable, compatible with Microstrip or Stripline configurations, and are available in male/female versions. They offer various interface options including flange-mount, threaded, or waveguide probe interfaces.
The back-to-back test is used to measure the combined response of two connectors. Testing up to 27 GHz helps identify internal impedance mismatches. The individual connector's VSWR can be calculated by taking the square root of the measured peak VSWR.
