Manufacturing Process

The 50×50 grid hole position accuracy of D16 welding station is
±0.03-0.05mm, which is accumulated by the entire process and cannot
be achieved simply by drilling holes.
- Raw material cutting: Q355 high-strength steel plate (optional HT300 cast iron), with a
standard plate thickness of 12mm
- Stress relief treatment (key): Overall annealing + artificial aging, some high-end versions do
natural aging; Eliminate internal stress in steel plates, avoid
warping and deformation of the table surface after long-term
welding and heating, and ensure long-term stability of grid
accuracy
- Rough milling: Milling flat table top and four side reference surfaces
- CNC five axis machining center: Complete drilling and reaming of the table top and four sides in
one go; Drill H7 precision hinge holes with a diameter of 16mm and
position them with 50mm grid coordinates to ensure grid pattern
accuracy; All holes should be rounded and chamfered to prevent
scratches caused by pin insertion and removal
- Shot blasting cleaning: Remove oxide scale
- Plasma gas nitriding: Surface hardening, hardness HV550-800, nitriding layer 0.3-0.5mm;
anti welding slag splashing, anti arc burn, wear-resistant,
long-term insertion and removal of locating pins are not easy to
enlarge holes
- Precision grinding correction flatness: Level 0 accuracy ≤0.05 mm/1000 mm, Level 1 conventional ≤0.1
mm/1000 mm
- Blunt corners and deburring
- Factory full inspection: Flatness, perpendicularity, hole spacing, grid accuracy, hole
tolerance, issue inspection report
Attention: The cheap D16 welding table may omit aging and nitriding, and only
drill holes. After six months of use, the grid hole position may
drift and the positioning may be inaccurate.
Daily Maintenance
- Clean up welding slag splashes after each completion, use a wire
brush and oilstone to clean the countertop, and do not use an angle
grinder to polish the countertop, as it will damage the nitriding
hardened layer
- Regularly apply a small amount of high-temperature grease to the
positioning pin and locking bolt to prevent them from getting stuck
- It is strictly prohibited to directly strike the table with an
electric arc; It is recommended to spray anti splash agent during
welding
- Regularly calibrate the level, ground subsidence will change the
welding table level, indirectly affecting grid positioning
- Avoid placing high-temperature workpieces on the table for a long
time to prevent local thermal deformation
If the nitriding layer is extensively polished and damaged, the
grid accuracy will still be maintained, but the wear resistance of
the tabletop will significantly decrease, making it easy to be
eroded by welding slag.
