Pressureless air doors are used in every crosscut between underground intake and return airways, as well as between main intake and return airways. They require minimal force to open, eliminate the need for additional reverse air doors, and can close automatically after personnel or vehicles pass through. They are currently considered a relatively ideal type of air door for coal mines in China.
