LEDUV Drying Equipment, LED ultraviolet curing equipment, UVLED light curing machine, offset printing LEDUV drying system, printing LEDUV curing equipment
LED UV drying equipment is an industrial device that takes UVLED chips as the core light source. It emits ultraviolet rays of specific wavelengths to make photosensitive materials such as UV ink, UV varnish and UV glue undergo photopolymerization reaction instantly, realizing rapid drying and curing.
Widely used in offset printing, flexo printing, gravure printing, label printing, packaging printing, sheet coating, electronic component bonding and other fields, it replaces the traditional mercury lamp UV drying method. It has the advantages of instant on, low-temperature drying, low energy consumption, no ozone and long service life. It can be used with sheet-fed offset printing presses, rotary printing presses, glazing machines, coating machines and other equipment to realize instant drying of printed products and improve production efficiency and product quality.
1. Efficient and Rapid Curing
• Concentrated ultraviolet energy, fast drying speed, realizing
instant drying of printed products without waiting, and can be
directly processed in post-press procedures.
• Compatible with high-speed printing presses, does not affect
production speed, and greatly improves production capacity.
2. Energy Saving and Low Operating Cost
• Energy consumption is only 1/5 to 1/3 of that of traditional
mercury lamps, no preheating, no idle consumption, and extremely
low standby power consumption.
• Service life is as long as 20,000–30,000 hours, which greatly
reduces replacement and electricity costs in long-term use.
3. Low-Temperature Drying, Wide Application Range
• Cold light source design with low temperature rise, no damage to
heat-sensitive materials such as films, thermal paper, PVC and
adhesive stickers.
• Reduces paper deformation and film shrinkage, improving the
qualified rate of finished products.
4. Eco-Friendly and Safe, No Pollutants
• Mercury-free, no ozone generation, no infrared radiation,
complying with environmental protection and safe production
requirements.
• No high-temperature radiation, improving the working environment
of the workshop.
5. Intelligent Control, Stable and Reliable
• Supports PLC linkage with printing presses, synchronous start and
stop, realizing automatic control.
• Equipped with air-cooled/water-cooled heat dissipation system,
stable light source and small light decay.
• Has functions such as alarm, energy adjustment, timing and fault
self-diagnosis.
6. Compact Structure, Convenient Installation
• Small size and light weight, can be installed on existing
printing presses and glazing machines.
• Instant on, no preheating required, ready to use after startup.
How to choose:
1. Match Printing Process and Materials
• Select corresponding power and model according to printing
methods: offset printing, flexo printing, gravure printing, screen
printing, glazing, etc.
• Select low-temperature/standard type according to substrates:
paper, film, aluminum foil, PVC, PET, etc.
2. Confirm Light Source Wavelength
• Conventional UV ink/varnish: mainly 365nm, 385nm, 395nm.
• Special glue/dark ink: select high-energy 405nm or customized
wavelength.
3. Select Heat Dissipation Method
• Air-cooled LEDUV: simple structure, low cost, easy installation,
suitable for medium and low-speed, low-power scenarios.
• Water-cooled LEDUV: better heat dissipation, smaller light decay,
longer service life, suitable for high-speed printing and
high-power long-term operation.
4. Power and Curing Width
• Select the length of the lamp group according to the printing
width (folio, quarto, rotary, etc.).
• Select the light power density according to the printing speed
and ink thickness to ensure complete curing.
5. Control and Compatibility
• Supports linkage with the synchronous signal of the printing
press.
• Has functions such as dimming, timing, alarm and remote control.
• Power supply, installation size and installation position meet
on-site conditions.
6. Brand and After-Sales Service
• Choose original UVLED chips with high luminous efficiency and
long service life.
• Prioritize manufacturers with supporting cases in the printing
industry, perfect warranty and on-site debugging service.
How to use:
1. Installation and Fixation
• Install the LEDUV drying equipment at the paper outlet of the
printing press/behind the glazing unit.
• Connect the power supply, heat dissipation system (fan/chiller)
and control signal lines.
• Adjust the distance between the light source and the substrate to
ensure uniform irradiation.
2. Parameter Setting
• Set the UV power according to the printing speed and ink type.
• Turn on the linkage mode to realize synchronous start and stop of
the printing press and the light source.
• Set the heat dissipation fan/chiller to start first and stop later
to protect the lamp beads.
3. Normal Production Operation
• Start the heat dissipation system first, then turn on the LEDUV
light source when starting the machine.
• Print a small number of products for testing, check the curing
degree, surface dryness and whether there is smudging.
• Observe the temperature, current and light intensity during
production to ensure stable operation.
4. Daily Maintenance
• Regularly clean the surface of the LED lamp head to prevent dust
and ink from blocking.
• Regularly clean the dust-proof net for air-cooled models, and
regularly check the water quality and water level for water-cooled
models.
• Avoid frequent switching of the light source to extend the service
life.
5. Safety Precautions
• Ultraviolet rays are harmful to eyes and skin, wear protective
glasses during operation and avoid direct eye contact with the
light source.
• Do not block the heat dissipation port when the equipment is
running to prevent damage caused by overheating.
• Perform maintenance and cleaning after power off to avoid electric
shock.

Q1. What is the difference between LEDUV drying equipment and
traditional mercury lamps?
LED is energy-saving, low-temperature, ozone-free and has a long
service life; mercury lamps have high energy consumption, high heat
generation, produce ozone, require preheating and have a short
service life.
Q2. Why is the surface of the ink dry but the bottom layer is not
dry after printing?
Insufficient light power or too fast printing speed, you can
increase the UV power or reduce the speed; the ink is too thick or
the ink does not match the wavelength, replace with suitable ink.
Q3. Can the LEDUV light source be directly installed on old printing
presses?
Yes. Most models can be installed without damage, just fix the lamp
body and connect the power supply and signal lines.
Q4. Does the LEDUV drying equipment consume a lot of electricity?
No. Under the same curing effect, the power consumption is only
about 20% of that of traditional mercury lamps, with obvious
energy-saving effect.
Q5. How long is the general service life of the light source?
It can reach 20,000–30,000 hours under normal use, with small light
decay and no need for frequent replacement in the later period.
Q6. Can films and thermal paper be dried with LEDUV?
Yes. LED is a cold light source with low temperature rise, which
will not damage or shrink films and thermal materials.
Q7. Does the equipment require special maintenance personnel?
No. Daily maintenance only requires cleaning the lamp surface and
checking the heat dissipation, which is simple and has a low
failure rate.
Q8. Can UV inks of different brands be cured?
Most of them can. As long as the wavelength matches (365/385/395nm), good curing effect can be achieved.
