Ceramic igniters
Ceramic lighters are simply the best choice for igniting pellet and
biomass burners. They use only a fraction of the energy required by
hot air fans and ignition blowers and are suitable for igniting all
types of fuel. They are ideal for wood pellets, wood chips, straw,
corn, and more.
Thanks to a significantly higher temperature—approximately twice
that of traditional metal-cased lighters—ignition time is reduced
to 60 seconds. This makes them significantly more economical to
use.
A special application for high-temperature heaters is heating
systems that use solid fuels, such as wood pellets, as the energy
source. The challenge here is to ignite the biomass in a very short
time while maintaining very low emissions. This can only be
achieved with a sufficiently high ignition temperature.

The special geometry of the cylindrical ceramic heaters, combined
with an extremely high surface temperature of 1000°C, heats the
supply air to an extremely high temperature in a very short time.
