This 20ft Expandable Container House combines a textured stone-look
facade with a deep charcoal structural frame, giving a folding
modular building the solid, permanent presence of conventional
masonry architecture. The exterior cladding reproduces the layered
surface of natural stacked stone, while the dark grey outlines and
full-height sliding glass doors keep the elevation crisp and
contemporary. Placed on timber decking beside a lawn and white
picket fence, the extended unit reads as a permanent garden guest
house rather than temporary site accommodation.
Every unit is built by Global House (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. The
load-bearing structure is a Q235 hot-dip galvanized steel chassis,
which resists corrosion, termites and fire far better than timber
framing. In its extended state the house measures 5900 × 6480 ×
2480 mm and delivers 38.2 m² of usable interior area; folded for
transport it reduces to a 5900 × 2200 × 2480 mm container
footprint. Because two complete sets load into one 40HQ container,
ocean freight is divided across two buildings, which keeps the
delivered cost per square metre low for distributors and project
buyers.
The interior arrives ready to furnish: a fitted kitchen cabinet run
with working surface, a separate bedroom door, pre-installed
electrical wiring with a wall-mounted distribution box, LED ceiling
lighting, and a wood-grain PVC floor throughout. On site, a
two-person crew with basic lifting equipment can complete the
unfolding and sealing in roughly three hours — no poured
foundation, welding or specialist trades required.

How It Works (4-Step Deployment)
1. Unloading: Lift the folded unit onto leveled, hardened ground or simple
concrete piers.
2. Unfolding Wings: Release the safety latches, lift the two roof sections in
sequence, and then lower the floor sections.
3. Fixing Walls: Push the folded side walls outward to a vertical position and
install the corner connectors.
4. Sealing: Apply prefabricated sealing strips and high-quality structural
adhesive at joints to ensure a weather-tight finish.
