L-Type wound fin tubes are a type of heat exchanger tube used in various industrial applications to enhance heat transfer efficiency. They are characterized by fins that are wound around the base tube in an "L" shape, which increases the surface area for heat exchange.General materials of base tubes of wound finned tube are carbon steel, copper, alloy, stainless steel ; general materials of fins of wound finned tube are copper, aluminum 1060/1070, aluminum alloy 6063/6061.

ASTM A179 covers minimum-wall-thickness, seamless cold-drawn low-carbon steel tubes for tubular heat exchangers, condensers, and similar heat transfer apparatus.
