I.Overview
Ultrafiltration (UF) systems are mainly used in industrial
wastewater treatment for suspended solids removal, oil-water
separation, heavy metal recovery and wastewater reuse, which can
significantly improve water quality and reduce the subsequent
treatment load. Its core value in industrial wastewater treatment
is: resource recovery (such as heavy metals, protein enrichment and
reuse), emission reduction and efficiency (reduce COD, color, to
meet the stringent emission standards), process adaptability
(flexible combination of RO, electrolysis and other units to deal
with complex wastewater).
II.Typical Process Flow
Electroplating Wastewater Treatment (Heavy Metal Recovery):
Electroplating wastewater → adjust pH to 9~10 (metal hydroxide formation) → ultrafiltration (50 kDa) → electrolytic recovery of metals in the concentrated solution → filtrate discharged in accordance with standards
Dyeing wastewater decolorization and reuse:
dyeing wastewater → coagulation (PAC) → ultrafiltration (10 kDa) → activated carbon adsorption → RO → reuse
Petrochemical oil wastewater treatment:
oil-containing wastewater → air flotation emulsion breaking → ultrafiltration (0.02 μm) → effluent oil content <5 mg/L → re-injection or discharge
III.Core Attribute Parameters
| Performance Requirements for Ultrafiltration Membranes | |||||||
| Parameter | Typical Values for Industrial Wastewater | Description | |||||
| Membrane Material | PVDF, PES, Ceramics | PVDF is resistant to organic solvents; Ceramics are resistant to high temperature (>80℃). | |||||
| Pore Size | 0.01~0.05 μm | Dyeing wastewater: 0.02 μm; Oily wastewater: 0.05 μm. | |||||
| Flux (LMH) | 15~50 (Highly Polluted Wastewater) | Electroplating wastewater: 20~30; Food wastewater: 40~60. | |||||
| Operating Pressure | 1~3 bar | High-viscosity wastewater (e.g., papermaking black liquor) requires higher pressure. | |||||
| pH Resistance Range | 2~12 (During Chemical Cleaning) | Electroplating wastewater requires resistance to strong alkali (pH≥10). | |||||
| Treatment Effects | |||||||
| Wastewater Type | Ultrafiltration Effluent | Discharge Standard | |||||
| Electroplating Wastewater | Ni²⁺ <1 mg/L | Emission Standard for Electroplating Pollutants (Table 3) | |||||
| Dyeing Wastewater | COD 200~300 mg/L | Discharge Standard for Water Pollutants in Textile Dyeing and Finishing Industry | |||||

VI.Here is a guideline for you to get a proper quotation
Tell us the raw water/source of water(tap water, well water, or sea
water, etc)
Provide water analysis report(TDS , conductivity, or resistivity,
etc)
Required production capacity( 5m³/H, 50m³/H,or 500m³/H, etc)
What's the pure water used for( industrial,Food and Beverage,or
agriculture, etc )
