Description:

The DS200SHVIG1B from General Electric is an SCR high voltage interface board. As a member of the MarkV board family, this card can be easily installed into any number of GE brand drives.

Once installed, the board acts as an intermediary between the input voltage signal and the drive power supply. Signals can be communicated through the board from the power connection card (PCCA), power supply, and instrumentation cards.

The DS200SHVIG1B is used to convert and transmit the voltage signals fed to the board. The card accepts signals ranging from -500 to 500 mV.

These signals are then converted to differential frequencies from 0 to 500 kHz. The power supply of the driver then receives these new frequencies from the card to respond accordingly.

Configurability is a key feature of the design of this board. There are 17 configurable jumpers on the card to add additional attenuation capabilities.

These jumpers are protected by 10:1 current transformers. If any of the filter fuses on the board blow, the user will be alerted via three onboard LED indicators.

These signals are cabled to the (DCFB) for use in metering and regulator control circuits therefore if an (SHVI) is present the shunt isolator on the (SHVI) is used and the shunt isolator on the (DCFB) is passed (SHVM) is a smaller version of (SHVI) card and is used on application with lower voltage DC field ratings.
