The processor has a signal processing circuit that is provided with a digital signal processor. The digital processor generates a coarse video signal that is indirectly displayable on a video screen from image signals generated by a charge coupled device sensor .An auxiliary circuit has a correction circuit that generates another coarse video signal that is directly displayable on the video screen included for the following: (a) video endoscope (b) a camera for an endoscope.
The Olympus CV-260 is a video processor for flexible endoscopy with automatic white balance, pre-freeze image capture, automatic iris control and structure enhancement. The combination is aimed at consistency: white balance removes the colour drift that otherwise appears between scopes and light sources, automatic iris control keeps exposure stable as the tip moves between a bright lumen and a shadowed fold, and pre-freeze capture stores the frame the endoscopist wants rather than the frame that happened to be displayed when the button was pressed.
Allow airflow at the rear and sides; a blocked filter on an older processor is the usual cause of thermal shutdown mid-list. Connect the matching scope generation and light source, then run white balance with the scope attached and the light at working intensity. Check the video output format against your display before the first case. Each unit is powered on, checked for video output and inspected for connector and fan condition before dispatch.
