The SED board realizes the exchange, mapping and demapping functions between the Ethernet interfaces, and the Ethernet user interface line is connected to the backplane.

The main functions of the sed board are as follows:

1. Used in conjunction with the interface board, the user side supports a maximum of 8 fe and 2 ge Ethernet user ports, which can handle 10 Ethernet signals.

The sed board panel provides 2 ge interfaces and 2 fe optical interfaces, and the remaining 6 fe Ethernet user interfaces are provided by the interface board (the physical electrical interface is provided by the eifex6 board, and the physical optical interface is provided by the ois1x6 board). The ge interface is a lan signal access interface, supporting sfp optical interface and sfp electrical interface.

2. The system side provides 16 vcg (eos) ports (maximum support for 8 aug system bandwidth), providing 16:1 aggregation ratio and 1gbit/s two-way throughput.

3. It supports three virtual concatenation mapping modes: vc-12-xv, vc-3-xv, and vc-4-xv. Among them, vc-12-xv and vc-3-xv can coexist the same vc-4 virtual container. A single board supports a maximum of 504 vc-12, 24 vc-3 or 8 vc-4 to form a virtual concatenation group. Each virtual concatenation group can contain 1 to 63 vc-12, 1 to 24 vc3 or 1 ~ 8 vc4.

4. Flexible vlan processing mode, supporting epl, evpl, eplan, evplan, eptree and evptree. You can perform VLAN configuration operations according to the business, and support the operations of adding, stripping and modifying Layer 2 VLANs.

5. Support q in q identification, use the outermost 802.1q identification as the user isolation vlan identification, participate in learning search and isolation of ring network services.

6. Supports three rate limits based on port, vlan id and priority.

7. Supports jumbo frames of 1600 bytes.

8. Support lcas protocol.

9. Support port trunk function.

10. Support gfp package structure.

11. Complete the reading and insertion of the channel overhead.
