The working principle of an ultrasonic transducer is to effectively convert electrical energy into mechanical motion through a set of specially designed piezoelectric ceramics. The ceramics' size, shape, and type will influence the frequency at which conversion happens and the amplitude of the generated mechanical vibrations.

As the piezoelectric ceramic transducer material, the performance of the PZT series is more stable and the piezoelectric effect is significant in a larger temperature range. PZT series has good piezoelectric property, high mechanical strength, high coercive field, low dielectric loss in strong fields, which is widely used for ultrasonic welding and cleaning.
