Display mode
LCD has three display modes: reflective, transmissive and semi-translucent. A reflective film is added to the bottom polarizer of the reflective LCD, which is usually used outdoors and in well-lighted offices. The bottom polarizer of transmission LCD is a transmission polarizer. It needs to use backlight continuously, usually in poor light environment. Semi-transparent LCD is between the above two. The bottom polarizer can partly reflect the light, and usually has a backlight. When the light is good, the backlight can be turned off; when the light is poor, the backlight can be lighted by LCD.
