Single-Column Drop Impact Tester

2. Product Description:

This tester covers procedures for the drop testing of loaded boxes, cylindrical containers, and bags and sacks by the free-fall method. The tester method is intended for use in evaluating the capacity of a container to withstand the sudden shock resulting from a free fall, or to evaluate the capacity of a container and its inner packing to protect its contents during the sudden shock resulting from a free fall. This tester may also be used to compare the performance of different package designs. This tester may also permit observation of the progressive failure of a container and the damage to its contents.

3. Product Features:

① Brake motor to drive the drop arm and digital display height gage make the height accurate and intuitive. The operation is simple and drop is stable and accurate.

② The equipment works steadily and can achieve drop from edge, angle and surface.

③ The machine adopts single arm double column structure with electric reset, electric control drop and electric lifting device which make it easy to use. The unique hydraulic buffer device greatly improves the machine service life and stability with security.

④ Single arm can conveniently place products. The angle error between the drop impact surface and bottom plane is less than or equal to 1°.

7．Testing steps:

① Connect to power:AC380V, 50HZ.

② Open the power switch, the power indicator would light and the equipment is on standby

③ Set the height required. Press “I△”and set the height.

④ Put the sample on the equipment and prepare the fixture.

⑤ Testing method: Press the up button to the set height, and then press the drop button to start the free-fall test. Attention that the operator should not be near the testing area.

⑥ Press the zero button first, then press the reset or fall button to start the next test.

8. Maintenance:

① Lay down the drop arm after the test in case of the transformation of the spring. Before each test, press reset first to stop the motor before pressing the drop button.

② Add appropriate low concentration oil in the sliding round rod after the installation of a new machine. It is strictly prohibited to add rust-proof oil or high oil and backlog with corrosive oil.

③ Clean up and add oil again if there is too much dust on the sliding round rod.

④ The drop impact tester belongs to impact mechanical equipment, so the screws need check to avoid failure after 500 times test.
